Text: Green Bay Press-Gazette, Oct. 27 to Oct. 28, 2012 Note: Kuchenbecker, Arvilla M. Kuchenbecker, Arvilla M. Arvilla M. Kuchenbecker joined the angels in heaven on Thursday, October 25, 2012. She was born September 28, 1923, to the late Carl and Cora (Natzke) Loppnow. She married Marvin Kuchenbecker on September 8, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison. She was a stay-at-home Mom, whose life revolved around her family. Arvilla enjoyed gardening, playing cards, puzzles, embroidering and quilting. Needle and thread were always ready to mend grandchildren's treasures. Another special treasure was the quilt she made with her nephew, Danny and his friends at Syble Hopp School. Saturday was kuchen baking day. She and grandpa enjoyed dropping some off for the grandchildren's Sunday breakfast (we are not sure it made it to breakfast!). Gardening, baking and feeding calves never seemed like work when she did it with her grandchildren, Chris, Julie, Jason, Holly, Sally and Melissa. Nothing was more enjoyable than listening to Katie and Leah's songs and stories at the nursing home. Arvilla believed no one should spend a holiday alone. There was always room for one more. A tradition her children now carry on. She is survived by her children: Glen and special friend Mary Thompson and her sons Ken and Nick , Greenleaf; Mark and Brenda, De Pere; John, Bellevue, Janice, De Pere, Diane and Darrell Suchomel, Wayside, grandchildren: Christopher Kuchenbecker, Jason (Colleen) Kuchenbecker, Melissa (Kyle) Scray, Julie (Jason) Ossmann, Holly (Jeremy) Zirbel, Sally Suchomel, Kaitlyn and Leah Kuchenbecker; great grandchildren: Natalie, Paige, Brayden and Brylie Zirbel, Jordyn and Justin Ossmann, McKayla Scray and Owen Kuchenbecker; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Norman Loppnow, Wilmer and Barbara Loppnow, two sisters: Florence Kuchenbecker and Verna Borchardt, one sister-in-law, Bonita Kuchenbecker, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; one daughter-in-law, Sue Kuchenbecker; one brother, Marvin Loppnow, one sister, Irene Zeamer; one sister-in-law, Jean Loppnow, three brothers-in-law, Lloyd Kuchenbecker, Gilbert Borchardt and Alvin Zeamer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Friends may call from 3:30 to 6:00 pm on Monday, October 29, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, 7395 County Road W, Morrison, WI until the time of service. Funeral service 6:00 pm with Rev. Randy Ott officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison assisting the family. The family wishes to thank the staff at Harmony of Denmark. You made grandma's house a special place to visit. And, to the staff at Odd Fellow Home and Unity Hospice, a heartfelt thank you for your care, concern and compassion showed to Mom. While we can't name all of you, know you've left a lasting impression on our hearts. In the words of her great granddaughter, "First she was a girl, then a lady, then a Mom, then a grandma, then a great-grandma and now she is an "angel". Whether we call you Mom, grandma or great grandma, you will forever be our "angel". To Plant Memorial Trees in memory, please visit our Sympathy Store. |
